Welcome to the New Mexico Hispanic Medical Association (NMHMA) website. The NMHMA has been in existence since 1989 and continues its work to make healthcare more accessible to all New Mexicans. We negotiate medical discounts on behalf of the uninsured by offering the New Mexico Medical Card. We also organize health fairs and provide mentorship opportunities that encourage students to consider a career in healthcare. This year’s Health Fair will be held on April 17^th, 2010 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Our annual CME conference, Perspectives in Minority Health, is scheduled for August 21, 2010 at the Hard Rock Hotel Conference Center (Formerly Isleta Resort) in Albuquerque.
